SMAART’s (Smart modular all-in-one robust laser machining tool) objective is to reduce the complexity in laser technology, to bring ultrashort pulsed lasers into customers focus and to reduce the laser machine investment risks. Therefore neoLASE and GFH GmbH will cooperate in the SMAART project for a breakthrough in laser machining intelligence as saver of jobs and competitiveness for Europe’s manufacturing business. neoLASE will combine it’s modular laser platform to GAP (generic amplifier platform), a new and universal laser system for pico- and femtosecond pulses.

A selection of 1658 Europe-wide proposals were submitted to the EU SME Instrument-Program. neoLASE and GFH were able to prevail as one of the 63 funded projects with the SMAART project .
